29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a- Entryway Roof, 7000 Schindler Drive: A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 9 feet 8 inches to the ground when performing siding application and other related activities when walking/working from a pitched roof without the use of fall protection. Condition observed on or about 09/08/22. b- 7000 Schindler Drive: Two workers were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 11 feet to the ground when performing siding application and other related activities when walking/working at and near unprotected edges of second floor balconies without the use of fall protection. Condition observed on or about 09/08/22. c - 7000 Schindler Drive: Two workers were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 21 feet 8 inches to the ground when performing siding application and other related activities when walking/working at and near unprotected edges of third floor balconies without the use of fall protection. Condition observed on or about 09/08/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a- Entryway Roof, 7000 Schindler Drive: A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 9 feet 8 inches to the ground when accessing and egressing a pitched entry roof using a portable, extension ladder whose side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface being accessed. Condition observed on or about 09/08/22.
