29 CFR  1910.1200(f)(6)(ii):  The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical:   a) Western Slope Auto Company at 2264 Highway 6 & 50, Grand Junction CO, 81505:  On September 20, 2022, the employer did not ensure secondary containers of chemicals were labeled correctly with the chemical content of the container and the hazard warnings of the chemical contained therein.  Chemicals in the service shop and wash bay areas were in no fewer than 15 unlabeled containers including spray bottles, buckets and plastic containers . This condition exposed employees to skin, eye and respiratory hazards.  Western Slope Auto Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1498001, citation number 1, item number 4b and was affirmed as a final order on March 26, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2264 Highway 6 & 50, Grand Junction CO, 81505.

29 CFR  1910.1200(g)(8):   The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work  shift to employees when they were in their work area(s):   a) Western Slope Auto Company at 2264 Highway 6 & 50, Grand Junction CO, 81505:  On September 20, 2022,  the employer did not ensure that safety data sheets were readily available to employees during each work shift when they were in their work areas. Safety data sheets in the workplace were not present and were not readily accessible to employees. This condition exposed employees to chemical hazards.  Western Slope Auto Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(g)(8), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1498001, citation number 1, item number 4c and was affirmed as a final order on March 26, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2264 Highway 6 & 50, Grand Junction CO, 81505.

29 CFR  1910.157(e)(3):Portable fire extinguishers were not subjected to an annual maintenance check:   a) Western Slope Auto Company., 2264 Highway 6 & 50, Grand Junction CO, 81505: On September 20, 2022, the employer did not ensure the portable fire extinguishers inside the store were inspected at least annually, in that fire extinguishers throughout the work area were observed to have expired annual inspections. This condition exposed employees to fire hazards.  Western Slope Auto Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1498001, citation number 2, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on March 26, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2264 Highway 6 & 50, Grand Junction CO, 81505.
