29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of ANSI B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care, and Protection of abrasive wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section. Pool patio facing ocean: Employee using Makita angle grinder 9557NB with the guard removed while cutting tile was exposed to the rotating wheel and flying debris. Employee was exposed to struck by and laceration hazards.
