On or about September 21, 2022, on the site's south side, an employee performs sign installation/repair from an aerial lift without fall protection. Commercial Signs was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt shall be worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift. 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt shall be worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift, which was contained in OSHA inspection number #1581068, item number 1-2 and was affirmed as a final order on April 6, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1939 W. Hwy 30 Gonzales, La 70737.

29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2):The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. On or about September 21, 2022, on the site's south side, an employee performs sign installation/repair from an aerial lift without fall protection, the employer did not ensure each employee operating the aerial lift was trained in recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions exposing the employee to ejection from the aerial lift and falls from the aerial lift.
