29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) on or about 09/23/2022, on top of a bulkhead above 6th floor roof at 44-36 Douglaston Parkway, Douglaston, NY. Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Employees cutting a pour stop with an unprotected side were not protected from falling. The employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 12 feet to the flat roof level below.
