The employees were not trained on the operation of the equipment such as but not limited to setting the parking brake and shutting off the equipment when exiting the backhoe. Occurred on or about September 23, 2022.a) BAPS Northeast-Front Lot, 100 North Main St, Robbinsville, NJ 08691: Employees were not properly trained on operations and safety procedures on the Case Construction Backhoe, model # 580SN, serial #BUR1025826. The employees were not trained on the operation of the equipment such as but not limited to setting the brake and shutting off the equipment when exiting the backhoe. Occurred on or about September 23, 2022. b) BAPS Northeast-Front Lot, 100 North Main St. Robbinsville, NJ 08691: Employees did not receive site-specific training related to the hazards associated with moving equipment on the job site and personal protective equipment related to the tasks being performed such as but not limited to working with cement. The Employee was operating a Case 580 Super N (serial #BUR1025826) backhoe to retrieve curb forms from a CONEX box and deliver them to designated locations along the curb excavation. The employee e parked the Case 580SN on an incline. The employee exited the backhoe and did not chock the tires or set the parking brake. The backhoe rolled forward striking the employee and pinning him to the ground. Occurred on or about September 23, 2022.
