29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. a.) Dolgencorp, LLC dba Dollar General #207 store and back store room - On or about 10/5/22, and at times prior thereto, the company had items stored in the walkways creating a potential tripping hazard. Items stored in the aisleways included, but was not limited to, boxes of merchandise that had not been put away and carts containing merchandise. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

The employer did not ensure that if the correction or repair cannot be made immediately, the hazard is guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard is corrected or repaired. a.)
