29 CFR 1926.1101(e)(5): The employer did not ensure that employees did not eat, drink, smoke, chew tobacco or gum, or apply cosmetics in the regulated area: a) 6950 W 13th Ave Lakewood, CO 80214: On or about October 7, 2022, employees were exposed to unnecessary and additional airborne asbestos fibers while in an asbestos containment. Friable asbestos was being removed (e.g. drywall and duct wrap). The employer failed to ensure employees were not removing their respirators to take drinks of water in the containment. There were packs of bottles of water and empty bottles inside the containment.

Friable asbestos was being removed (e.g. drywall and duct wrap). The employer failed to ensure brooms were not utilized in containment to prevent dry sweeping. The areas where the brooms were located were not wetted.
