29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a. 606 Freeman Street, Orange, NJ  Employees used hand tools which included, but were not limited to, a Metabo NV 833A5 nailer, without eye or face protection. The employees were using the equipment to install framing on a residential building under construction.   Violation observed 10/18/2022

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a. 606 Freeman Street, Orange, NJ   The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falling from an unprotected edge while performing framing work on a residential building. The employees were working at the height of approximately 30 feet from the ground without utilizing any form of fall protection.  Violation observed on or about 10/18/2022
