29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.  On or about October 24, 2022, employees were exposed to slip, trips and fall hazards where the store was not kept clean and orderly, including areas such as, but not limited to:  a.	At the cash register station, there were boxes, trash and merchandise strewn about the workstation.   b.	Party favor aisle, there was a basket and a roller cart full of material on one side of the aisle and on the other side was a box blocking the whole aisle.     c.	Party favor/school supply aisle, there was a roller cart partially blocking the entrance to the aisle.    d.	School supply/writing supplies aisle was disheveled with trash, opened merchandise, an a overflowing tote.   e.	Near women's restroom, trash, bottled water and stacked merchandise impeding access to the restroom.  f.	Store not sanitary - rodent droppings were clearly visible at electrical panel.  Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1439273, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 3/27/2020 with respect to a workplace located at 354 E Main St., Galesburg, IL 61401.

Back of store (east side), exit blocked by trash, empty cardboard display boxes, and empty cardboard drink flats .  b.	Sales floor (south side), exit blocked by trash, a plastic trashcan lid, cardboard boxes, and puppy pad packages.  c.	Aisle access to cash register stations and near the Red Bull cooler were obstructed as a result of cardboard boxes of merchandise stacked together.  Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1483184, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/16/2020 with respect to a workplace located at 11 River Rd. #35, Bergen, NJ 07031.
