29 CFR  1910.22(a)(1):29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.  On or about August 2, 2023 and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to trip and fall hazards while working at Dollar General Store #1896 located at 1464 W Buckingham Rd Garland, TX 75042 based on the following observations:  a) At the back of the store in the receiving room the corridor leading to restrooms and cold storage area was obstructed by boxes of stored merchandise and rolling containers leaving walkway clearance of approximately 12 inches.    Dollar General was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1535419, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 4, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at5129 Cottage Hill Road, Store 7196, MOBILE, AL  Dollar General was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1439273, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 1, 2020 with respect to a workplace located at 354 E Main St. GALESBURG, IL  61401

29 CFR  1910.37(a)(3):Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed:  On or about August 2, 2023 and times prior thereto back emergency exit routes in Dollar General Store #1896 located at 1464 W Buckingham Rd Garland, TX 75042 were obstructed with stored merchandise and materials exposing Dollar General empployees to a caught in hazard in the event of an emergency requiring evacuation.   a) At the back of the store location in the "excess storage area/breakroom," the exit door was obstructed by stored merchandise restricting the exit pathway to approximately 15 inches.  b) At the back of the store location in the "receiving room," was stack of merchandise containers and boxes approximately 6 feet in height was stacked along the corridor leading to the exit door. The stack protruded approximately 24 inches into the exit path.     Dolgencorp Inc. DBA; Dollar General was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR  1910.37(a)(3)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1507692, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 10, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 12 S Hwy 27/441, Lady Lake, FL 32159.  Dolgencorp Inc. DBA; Dollar General was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR  1910.37(a)(3)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1509783, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 17, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 440 Main Street Walnutport, PA.
