OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that they were exposed to burn hazards:  (a)Associated Milk Producers, Inc. at 127 Commercial Avenue in Hoven, SD 57450: On or about and at times prior to October 19, 2022, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from burn hazards when performing work in the vicinity of the steam sink near Panel Area C. Pipes and discharge from the steam sink were measured to be approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit, which could cause serious injury if employees contacted up protected pipe or discharge from the system.

This condition exposed employee to caught-in hazards.   (b)Associated Milk Producers, Inc. at 127 Commercial Avenue in Hoven, SD 57450: On or about and at times prior to October 19, 2022, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from caught-in hazards in that the horizontal intake auger of the cheese auger was not appropriately guarded to prevent employee contract. This condition exposed employee to caught-in hazards.

This condition exposed employees to caught-in and nip point hazards.

This condition exposed employees to electrical hazards.   (b)Associated Milk Producers, Inc. at 127 Commercial Avenue in Hoven, SD 57450: On or about and at times prior to October 19, 2022, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from electrical hazards in that the Power Flex 525 (OO3) Allen Bradley AC Drive junction box near Panel Area C was not appropriately covered, exposing wire connections. This condition exposed employees to electrical hazards.
