29 CFR 1926.501(a)(1) The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards: a- 176 & 178 Freedom Way, Sicklerville NJ: A worker, engaged in gutter installation and other related activities, was exposed to fall hazards in excess of 25 feet to the ground surface below when walking and working from a residential structure's pitched roof without the use of fall protection. Workers did not provide a training program or training on the proper use or when to use fall protection devices. Condition noted on or about 10/26/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a- 176 & 178 Freedom Way, Sicklerville NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 25 feet to the ground surface below, when using an aluminum extension ladder whose side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above a landing surface being accessed. Condition noted on or about 10/26/22.
