29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(i)(A)(1): When an unqualified person was working in an elevated position near overhead lines with voltages to ground rated at 50 kV or below, the location was not such that the person and the longest conductive object he or she could contact came closer to any unguarded, energized overhead line than the following distances: (1) For voltages to ground 50kV or below - 10 feet (305 cm); (2) For voltages to ground over 50kV - 10 feet (305 cm) plus 4 inches (10 cm) for every 10kV over 50kV. On or about November 4, 2022, and at times prior there to, an unqualified employee elevated in an aerial lift basket held a conductive object that came closer than 10 feet to an energized overhead power line, exposing the employee to an electrical shock hazard.
