29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: FCA US, LLC - Perrysburg, OH: On or about November 3, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from rotating part hazards while operating the drill press (s/n 96 2907) located in the carpenter shop. Employees operating the drill press were exposed to caught in hazards from the unguarded chuck. No additional abatement information is needed for this item.
