29 CFR  1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use:  a. On or about December 9, 2022, in the spray/paint department, employees were required to wear tight fitting respirators when painting  parts of modular drawer system. The employer failed to develop and implement a written respiratory protection program, which included worksite specific procedures, thereby exposing employees to hazards including, but not limited to  spray paint fumes.

On or about December 9, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees were fit tested prior to using tight fitting respirators. Thereby exposing employees to illnesses including, but not limited to, lung cancer and activation of latent tuberculosis (TB) infection related to respirable but not limited to acetone, xylene and toluene.
