29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and/or sparks: a) Production floor: On or about 12/16/2022, the employer did not ensure that the WC 312, SN: 124DN454649, CNC machine was equipped with machine guarding methods. The CNC machine was missing the left barrier guard and had an inoperable interlock. b) Production floor: On or about 12/16/2022, the employer did not ensure that the WC 211 Slant Jr SN:10708n CNC machine was equipped with operable machine guarding methods. The safety interlock was inoperable allowing the machinery to operate while the door is open.
