OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of drowning and chemical burns.  Location - American Plating Line (APS)  On or about , December 19, 2022, employees were standing on a temporary platform to add materials to chemical tanks containing corrosive and other materials. There was no system in place to prevent them from falling from the platform into the tanks.   Among other methods, feasible means of abatement include but are not limited to installing guardrails on the platforms or fully planking the area over the tanks.
