OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.  Employees were exposed to amputation hazards while manually rotating an InnoPET Blomax 28S blowmolding machine.  This was most recently identified on December 10th, 2022, at an establishment located at 1777 North Packer Road, Springfield, Missouri 65803, when an employee manually rotated the blow molding machine with hands on the molds and received an injury.  AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO:  Develop, implement, and communicate to operators, specific procedures for manually rotating the blow molding machine using the manufacturer's instructions for such an activity.  Ensure operators understand how to safely rotate the machine, to include the usage of the handwheel and the recognition of potential pinch point hazards that are present when the doors of the machine are open.  Enforce the procedure for manually rotating the machine by using only the manufacturer provided handwheel.
