29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: On or about December 13, 2022, in the chemical pump room, where an employee was exposed to eye injury hazards while changing out a sodium hydroxide pump without being required to use protective eye equipment.

OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. On or about December 13, 2022, in the chemical pump room, employees were exposed to chemical hazards while performing maintenance work on a sodium hydroxide pump without having engineering or administrative controls beyond PPE, to ensure they can do the work safely.
