29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Legacy Department: On or about 12/22/2022, the employer did not ensure that machinery including, but not limited to, the sealer, Property tag number EIC - DEEEX, 611429, was equipped with adequate machine guarding methods to protect employees from pinch points and thermal hazards. The sealer had easily removable guards, and unguarded pinch-points.
