29 CFR 1910.134(a)(2): A respirator was not provided by the employer to each employee when such equipment was necessary to protect the health of the employee: Respiratory protection was not provided to protect employees from exposure to hydrogen peroxide above the permissible exposure limit. (a) At Bosch machine 1, an operator was exposed to hydrogen peroxide at an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) concentration of 3.1 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3) of air. Sampling was performed for 480 minutes during one shift on May 31, 2023. (b) At Bosch machine 2, an operator was exposed to hydrogen peroxide at an 8-hour TWA concentration of 3.0 mg/m3 of air. Sampling was performed for 475 minutes during one shift on May 31, 2023. Zero exposure was assumed for time not sampled. (c) At Bosch machine 3, an operator was exposed to hydrogen peroxide at an 8-hour TWA concentration of 2.9 mg/m3 of air. Sampling was performed for 454 minutes during one shift on May 31, 2023. Zero exposure was assumed for time not sampled. (d) At Bosch machine 4, an operator was exposed to hydrogen peroxide at an 8-hour TWA concentration of 3.1 mg/m3 of air.
