29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. On or about January 19, 2023, on a commercial steel erection building project, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard exceeding fifteen feet when performing metal roofing activities without a fall protection system. MG Metal Buildings was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1624732, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 15, 2022, with respect to a workplace near 15345 Summit Park Drive, Montgomery, TX 77356.
