29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about January 25 and 26, 2023 at the Goddard School Construction Project, the foreman and employee were on the roof deck with no fall protection system in use. Leonard Markese Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1594008, citation number 1, item number 02, and was affirmed as a final order on November 3, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1067 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield, CT.
