Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  On 7 February 2023, an employee of Cheltenham Construction Services, Inc. was working on the roof of a two-story single-family home located at site 53A on Longcreek Drive in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. The employee was "running the rafters" and installing stay laps at the top of the roof, exposing to an approximate 27-foot drop on the back side of the house and an 18-foot drop on the front of the house. The roof had an 8/12 pitch on either side. He was not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. The employee was observed on the roof of the building without fall protection, exposing him to falls to the ground below.  Cheltenham Construction Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1556648, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 3 March 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 713 Alban Alley, O'Fallon, Missouri.  Cheltenham Construction Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1455845, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 19 February 2020, with respect to a workplace located at Old Park Lane, Swansea, Illinois.
