29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Danfoss Power Solutions II, LLC - Van Wert, Ohio: On or about February 3, 2023, employees who operated the Marken 550 automatic saw machine (s/n 1492), used to cut hose to length, were exposed to amputation injuries in that the machine's blade and the pinch point created by the machine's pneumatic push/holding cylinder were not guarded. No additional abatement information is needed for this item.
