29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a): On or about February 9, 2023 and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to caught in hazard due to no type of guarding on a vertical lathe with a rotating table (KF ORD VERTICAL LATHE, ID# S01); b): On or about February 9, 2023 and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to caught in hazard due to no chuck guard on a drill press attached to swing arm (DRILL PRESS ID# FRN-50, light green).
