29 CFR  1910.37(a)(1): Exit routes must be kept free of explosive or highly flammable furnishings or other decorations:  On or about February 17, 2023, employees were potentially exposed to burns and other hazards created by flammable chemicals that were improperly stored. In the following instances, flammable chemicals were located within 6 feet of designated exit doors and thus had the potential to restrict access to the exit route in the event of a fire:   a. Southeast Exit Door at Bay 5, FL02: A flammable storage cabinet containing approximately 20 gallons of Category 3 flammable diesel fuel was storage immediately adjacent to the designated exit door. b. West Wall, Main Bay: A ZEP solvent tank that contained up to 45 gallons of BZ7482 Parts Washer Solvent R19835 5G, a Category 2 highly flammable liquid, was installed 4 feet from the designated exit door.  c. West Wall, Main Bay: A ZEP solvent tank that contained up to 45 gallons of BZ7482 Parts Washer Solvent R19835 5G, a Category 2 highly flammable liquid, was installed 6 feet from the designated exit door.
