On or about February 21, 2023, the employer did not ensure employees used appropriate face protection when exposed to liquids chemicals such as a face shield. Sanitation employees use chemicals to include, but not limited to, Quorum Brown and Quorum Pink II LF.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. On or about February 21, 2023, the employer failed to ensure suitable facilities were available for quick drenching or flushing were in the work area for employees using caustic chemicals to include, but not limited to, Quadexx 700 and Luster Pro-BCNP during the sanitation shift in the coney peel area.
