29 CFR  1926.1101(f)(2):29 CFR 1926.1101(f)(2):  The employer who has a workplace or work operation covered by this standard did not ensure that a competent person conducts an exposure assessment immediately before or at the initiation of the operation to ascertain expected exposures during that operation or workplace:  a) On or about February 21, 2023, CAC Construction, Inc. employees working at 3922 N Tripp Ave. Chicago, IL 60641, were performing Class II asbestos work. Employees were removing transite exterior siding containing 5-10% chrysotile asbestos. The employer did not ensure that a competent person conducted an exposure assessment immediately before or at the initiation of the removal of the transite exterior siding.  No abatement documentation or certification required for this citation.
