Bucyrus , Kansas, employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 22 feet from the eave of the roof to the ground below in that fall was not utilized.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  At a jobsite located at 12411 182nd Court, Bucyrus, Kansas employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 22 feet while using portable aluminum extension ladders that did not extend at least 3 feet above the eave of the roofline.
