29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):  The employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in residential construction activities with unprotected sides and edges (6) feet or more above lower levels, was protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.   On March 21, 2023, employees engaged in carpentry and framing activities on a residential structure, were exposed to falls of up to 20 feet.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
