The employer must ensure: Walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice. a) On or about January 18, 2023, Kyocera Senco Industrial Tools, Inc did not ensure walking-working surfaces were maintained free of hazards in that scrap wire in the Staple Department was in the walking area near the CB Nelson Staple Machines creating a slip, trip, and fall hazard.

The employer must ensure: Walking-working surfaces are inspected, regularly and as necessary, and maintained in a safe condition; a) On or before January 18, 2023, Kyocera Senco Industrial Tools, Inc did not ensure walking-working surfaces were inspected regularly and as necessary, and maintained in a safe condition in that scrap wire was being stored on the ground near the staple machines, and wire was protruding into the walking-working surface.
