Hazardous energies present on the equipment include but are not limited to pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical.   c) On or about May 1, 2023 the employer did not ensure that procedures were developed and utilized when employees were tasked with the service and maintenance of the MOZZ AUGER  at the facility. Hazardous energies present on the equipment include but are not limited to mechanical, and electrical.   d) On or about May 1, 2023 the employer did not ensure that procedures were developed and utilized when employees were tasked with the service and maintenance of the Curd Vats at the facility. Hazardous energies present on the equipment include but are not limited to steam. At the time of inspection valves to control the release of steam were not locked out prior to removal of steam fittings./ injectors.   e) On or about April 5, 2023 the employer did not ensure that procedures were developed or documented for the control of hazardous energies of equipment which employees would be expected to service and maintain. Equipment present at the facility includes but is not limited to mixers, fillers, reverse osmosis equipment, and packaging equipment.  Hazardous energies present on equipment includes but is not limited to steam, thermal, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical. Employees are exposed to the automatic moving machine parts of the labelling portion. No effective guarding was in place to prevent employees from reaching into the hazardous area.   b) On or about April 5, 2023 the employer did not ensure that effective guarding was in place on the mozzarella cooker cube pusher. Employees are exposed to the automatic moving machine parts of the rams which push down and through the mozzarella cube formers. No effective guarding was in place to prevent employees from reaching into the hazardous area.   c) On or about February 3, 2023 the employer did not ensure that effective guarding was in place on the Large Koss Mozz Cooker. The Large Koss Mozz Cooker containts two augers inside that continue to spin, while the outlet gates/doors are open. During this time employees are exposed to pinch point of both the augers and the doors.  Miceli Dairy Products Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1360468, citation number 1, item number 1  , and was affirmed as a final order on December 11, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 2721 East 90th Street, Cleveland, OH 44104.
