29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the worksite located at 1078 South Jefferson, Lebanon MO, employees were exposed to point of operation hazards on the Hydromat 23 planer when machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator from the point of operation inside the machine. This resulted in hospitalization and amputation. This was documented on or about 4-7-2023 .
