29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1):Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) Maya Erectors LLC - On or about April 12, 2023, at the address of 309 Lake Erie Pkwy, Huron, OH 44839: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from hazards associated with falls while working atop a steel frame structure. Employee(s) performing steel erection work activities (securing ridge cap/eave trim) were exposed to fall hazards of 24' or greater to the ground below. Maya Erectors LLC was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1559497, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/27/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 4025 Durham Road, Houston, PA 15342.
