29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A):Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (Construction Reference 1926.103)(a) On or about April 13, 20223, employees were allowed to wear tight face piece respirators with facial hair while removing floor tile that contained 15% chrysotile asbestos. This condition exposed employees to asbestos health hazards.

29 CFR 1926.1101(d)(5):As supervisor of the entire project, the general contractor did not ascertain whether the asbestos contractor was in compliance with the asbestos standard, and did not require such contractor to come into compliance with this standard. On or about April 13, 2023, the employer did not ensure that asbestos contractor was in compliance with the asbestos standard such as but not limited to calibrating the air pumps before and after employee's initial asbestos exposure monitoring. This condition exposed employees to asbestos health hazards.
