Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:  On or about April 20, 2023, employees performing framing operations on the upper level at a single-family property were exposed to a 13.6 foot fall when the employer failed to ensure that fall protection was utilized.   C.G.O. Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1316461, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 6, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 4603 Oakwood Ave. Downers Grove, IL 60515.  Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
