29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. At the worksite located at 27200 E Cedar Grove Dr., Lake Lotawana, MO 64086, employees were exposed to flying particles from pneumatic nail gun being used without eye protection. The employee did not have eye protection on. This was documented on or about 4-25-2023. Penttengill Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)1, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1563089, citation number 1, item number 1and was affirmed as a final order on 5-10-2022, with respect to a workplace located at NW Tiffany Springs Rd & NW Old Stagecoach in KC MO.
