29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about May 4, 2023, the Ironer 1 Braun Omega Folder was not guarded adequately. (b) On or about May 4, 2023, the Ironer 1 Hypro ironing conveyor rollers that infeed to the Braun Omega Folder were not guarded. This exposed employees working at or around the sides of the rollers to ingoing nip points and amputation hazard created by the tail end ironer roller that feeds into the folder. (c) On or about May 4, 2023, the Ironer 2 Hypro ironing conveyor rollers that infeed to the Braun Omega Folder were not guarded.
