1926.20(b)(2): Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. On or about May 12, 2023, the employer did not ensure frequent and regular inspections were completed of the jobsite where employees were conducting residential roofing construction activities on the first and second level of a residential home, to ensure fall protection was being utilized.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2):The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii): On or about May, 12, 2023 the employer Jace Roofing and Construction, LLC at jobsite located at 2137-2141 Charles Court, Avon, OH, did not ensure that each each employee had received training to recognize the hazards of falling, and procedures to minimize these hazards. Such training would support the employees in identifying and avoiding potential hazards such as falls during job site operations, decreasing the probability of employee injury or illness. Jace Roofing and Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent standard of the occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1) , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1586401 , citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on 6/3/22, with respect to a workplace located at 5055 E. Lake Rd. Sheffield Lake OH .
