29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about 05/15/2023, in the Maintenance Area, employees were exposed to ingoing nip points and rotating parts hazards when operating the Rivett machine without a guard on the side of the machine to cover the drive belt. b) On or about 05/15/2023, in Maintenance Area, employees were exposed to flying debris and rotating chuck hazards when operating the Logan lathe without a guard over the chuck. c) On or about 05/15/2023, on the Production Floor, employees were exposed to ingoing nip points, and rotating parts hazards when operating Davenport Model B Screw Machines without appropriate guards. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
