At the jobsite, employees operating a Max nail gun to perform roofing activities without eye and face protection exposing him to the hazard of being struck-by flying objects.  Valentin Moreno was previously cited for a Serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1648360, Citation Number 1, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on April 27, 2023, with a final abatement date on March 27, 2023,  with respect to a workplace located at 8589 Big Apple Drive, Saginaw, Texas 76106.

29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary. The program shall enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways, and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards.   At the residential construction site, the employer did not ensure employees installing roofing material were trained to recognize and avoid slip and fall hazards related to ladders.
