29 CFR  1910.303(b)(2):Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling:  On and/or before May 23, 2023, Multiple appliances such as microwaves, coffee makers and space heaters were plugged into relocatable power taps and/or "daisy chained" in which were not used according to listing and labeling instructions. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to electrical shock and/or fire hazards. In the following locations:  a) Legal CLC Department, Danby fridge, Magic Chief microwave, elite gourmet coffee maker was connected to an extension cord. b) 3rd Floor Safety Warehouse, a Haier fridge and Kenmore microwave was connected to a black surge protector, which was plugged into a white APC surge arrest that is plugged into the wall and had a Panasonic DVD-s7000, JVC RX-503, and Samsung TV QN50Q60 connected to it. c) Pharmacy room, Panasonic MPR-215F-PA refrigerator was plugged into a surge protector that was ran under a door and plugged into an outlet in a storage room.  The U.S Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1516025, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on October 27, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1300 Metropolitan, Leavenworth, KS 66048.
