Bucyrus, OH; The employer did not ensure that energy control procedures were developed, documented and utilized prior to employees entering the palletizer cell to perform servicing/unjamming activities near the Fanuc R 2000 IC 270 F. Employees tasked with performing servicing without the benefit of energy isolation were exposed to hazards such as but not limited to struck by hazards created by the robotic arm.

Bucyrus, OH; The employer did not evaluate, at least annually, energy control procedures for the Fanuc R 2000 IC 270 F to ensure employees performing service and maintenance tasks adequately utilized appropriate application and usage of the procedures. Employees performing service work in an energized condition were exposed to struck-by hazards.

Bucyrus, OH; The employer did not ensure employees tasked with servicing/unjamming activities in proximity of the Fanuc R 2000 IC 270 were adequately trained in energy control recognition and procedures prior to entering the palletizer cell. Employees performing this work without the benefit of training to facilitate recognition of equipment energization, were exposed to hazards such as but not limited to struck by hazards created by the robotic arm. Diamond Wipes International Inc. was previously cited for a violation off this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1376536, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as final order on May 15, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1375 Isaac-Beal Rd. Bucyrus, OH
