29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by flying objects: a) 180-8 Machine; On or about June 7, 2023 and at times prior, employees are exposed to burn hazards, in that a machine guard was not provided in front of the barrel that ejects hot plastic onto employees and side of the machine, approximately 300 degrees Fahrenheit at a high pressure. b) 180-11 Machine; On or about June 7, 2023 and at times prior, employees are exposed to struck-by hazards, in that a machine guard was not provided at the area where warm excess plastic known as a runner are ejected from the machine.
