29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  Employees engaged in drilling activities on the Bridgeport Series I Vertical Mill, 9" x 48" Table, 2 HP,  were exposed to struck-by hazards in that machine guarding was not provided for the Bridgeport vertical mill drill press.

29 CFR  1910.242(b):Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.  Employees utilizing compressed air while engaged in cleaning activities at the following locations were exposed to struck-by hazards in that the compressed air was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.:  1. Final Assembly,Milton 36" air wand pressure tested at 50 PSI. 2. South Plant Side rail,  Milton 36" air wand pressure tested at 90 PSI.

29 CFR  1910.252(b)(2)(iii):Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields:  Employees were exposed to welding rays in the following areas. These areas all had welding occurring without the use of screens with other employees in the area able to directly see the weld arc.    1: Small Parts area 2: South Isle, Jig Weld out area 3: North Weld Out area 4: Weld Out area 5: Rotator Area 6: South Side Rail Assembly
