The employer does not require the use of eye protection during roofing work. This violation was most recently observed on June 12, 2023, at 15 Brewster Drive, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278, where employees were exposed to being struck by a nail in the event of a malfunction. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that its employees performing roofing work are protected from struck by hazards, and that no employee is allowed to operate an air powered nail gun without protective safety glasses.

The employer does not require the use of a safe access and egress point during roofing work. This violation was most recently observed on June 12, 2023, at 15 Brewster Drive, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278, where employees were not protected from fall hazards of ten feet on the ladder set from the ground to the front porch. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that its employees performing roofing work are protected from falls by installing all ladders three feet above the landing area. 2. The employer does not require the use of a safe access and egress point during roofing work. This violation was most recently observed on June 12, 2023 at 15 Brewster Drive, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278, where employees were not protected from fall hazards of twenty feet on the ladder set from the porch to the upper roof. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that its employees performing roofing work are protected from falls by installing all ladders three feet above the landing area.
