Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502.  a. On a roof at  a residence, located on 122 County Road 1307, Vinemont, AL: On or about June 6, 2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that fall protection was not  utilized by employees on the roof while performing framing work.

On a roof at a residence, located on 122 County Road 1307, Vinemont, AL: On or about June 6, 2023, the ladder rungs were not extended 3 feet above the landing surface, nor was the portable ladder secured properly on the far North side of home.  b. On a roof at a residence, located on 122 County Road 1307, Vinemont, AL: On or about June 6, 2023, the ladder rungs were not extended 3 feet above the landing surface, nor was the portable ladder secured properly on the West side of the home near the main entryway.
