29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer did not report within 24-hours a work-related incident resulting in in-patient hospitalization. On or about June 16, 2023 an employee engaged in fire operations related to prescribed burns suffered carbon monoxide poisoning due to smoke inhalation. The employee was not required to wear a respirator when performing the task. The employee was hospitalized and the employer failed to report the hospitalization to OSHA within 24 hours.
